Comment History | Ken I know, but it just seems like its every corner in Naples... i remember when it looked so nice.. I love Naples, after all I was born there, I just wish they would put the art they do so well to good use for themselves....and keep it off the city streets..but that will never happen. They paint it and they will do it again.... |
 | in Naples in the '60s, there was some (not a ton of) graffiti, including the memorable "project" by members of the FSHS 1965 graduating class... spray painting "Seniors '65" all over the city. Real nice! Another common "tag" back then (not by Wildcats, in this case) was people writing "WILRE" all over the place. It took me a while to figure out who this WILRE guy was, until someone explained to me that it wasn't a "W" but two side-by-side "V" letters (short for Viva) with the words "il Re" ("The King") as a political statement by extremists in the Monarchist party who wanted to elect a king. |
 | Lucky you Carol, we are now all jealous, I could almost feel the warmth.... |
 | Anna, graffiti is in/around the US cities, too. some/most is in por taste, however some of it is very artful. |
