FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
1. Introduction
The FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP page supports the free flow of information among alumni of the
DoDEA school system in Naples Italy, K-12. This is a closed group and approved members must
have attended school in Naples at any time since 1953 and be over the age of 18.
The FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP page, administrators, moderators and members are not
representatives nor have any official affiliation to Forrest Sherman High School and/or the
DoDEA system.
2. Operation
FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP is a private group within Facebook run by volunteers. There is no
financial compensation or monetary gain for any group member including administrators and
moderators.
2.1. Property
Content submitted to the FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP is posted on the site for the benefit of
its members and should be relevant to FSHS, alumni and/or Naples, Italy in general.
FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP retains no ownership rights to anything posted on the page,
including but not limited to any mascots, trademarks, or copyrights relating to DoDEA
operated schools in Naples, Italy.
User-contributed content does not necessarily represent the opinion of FSHS FACEBOOK
GROUP and holds no liability or supports no warranty towards the type, amount, content, or
definition of any user-contributed content.
This waiver also extends to whatever content considered private or proprietary. Users are
responsible for the information contributed, posted, or submitted. Content submitted by
users may be used by FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP for any purpose.
The FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP administrators retain the right to make changes to, edit,
update, add to, or remove, content as is deemed necessary without notice or explanation.
3. Policies
The guidelines set forth in this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) are designed to support the active
operation of FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP and support a platform for the appropriate and free
exchange of information:
3.1. Membership
Any member can invite an individual to the group but only administrators can approve the
individual.
A prospective member may be asked to verify alumni status. Accepted members are granted immediate, full access to the group page.
3.2. Prohibited Activities
Postings and/or images that:
• are harassing, inflammatory, false, or offensive;
• contain lewd or inappropriate language (or links to this type of content), personal attacks,
personal health information of other members, etc.;
• request money for commercial, personal and/or charitable reasons;
• promote fraudulent or illegal activities;
• are political or religious in nature.
Also prohibited is:
• Spamming of members either within the page or through use of private messaging.
4. Possible Actions Taken for Violations
• Warning
• Deletion of Post
• Continued violations can lead to removal from the group.
5. Revisions to the Acceptable Use Policy
FSHS FACEBOOK GROUP reserves the right to expand, delete or otherwise modify this policy
without notice whenever such changes are adjudged by it to be desirable or necessary.
