We would rather pay to house and protect the most violent criminals then to give an unborn child a chance.

I think women underestimate the value of being a mother. Men will never have this opportunity. Men cannot have babies and that is why we fight for them. There is nothing wrong with being poor, or homeless or orphaned even being abused leaves you with more opportunities than being dead.

Oats, hopefully. : ) And Carol, I understand your position about what you want a FB page to be, and you echo a complaint that I have heard before. So, why don't you (and others who feel the same way) just ignore a post that is clearly political and bound to engender some heated discussion? That's what I do -- I don't really want to read about school bus rides in Naples, etc., so if I see a post like that, I just ignore it. : )

They have a new procedure now for men, just saw it on the news this morning. Very easy, non-invasive, quick and painless. Okay, I think it said painless, but even if it isn't, nothing wrong with men having to endure a little pain! But more important, it is easily 'reversible'. Maybe we should 'require' them to get this done at birth. Then when they are ready to have their family, they get it undone!

Rather than judge women on what they do or don't with their bodies, and what is right or wrong with the choices they make for themselves, 'force' the responsibility on the men to make sure women aren't put in that position to begin with. Because unfortunately, in a lot of cases, men don't bear the burden of taking care of the children after they are born. So maybe we should force that responsibility on them long before before they go out sowing their wild seeds.

Okay, so I know the above scenario would be impossible to do, but why do we always look at the women and what they should or shouldn't be doing with their bodies? The men want to say what is right and wrong, but I don't see too many long lines of men lining up to pay child support. And yes, it takes two to tango, but most times the result is left to ONE to bear the responsibility afterwards. So the ONE who has to bear the responsibility should be the ONE to make the choice of how much responsibility they can bear. And no one else has the right to judge their choice. That's between them and whatever God they'll be answering to at the Pearly Gates, or them and their own conscious if they might be Atheist? Just sayin'...
