Comment History | Sorry to interject myself into this, but I cannot let hate and falsehoods lie unchallenged. |
| I too have lost friends and family over opinions stated, in person and on facebook :-( I truly believe the one thing AFSOUTH taught me was tolerance. Tolerance of ALL. I really saw prejudices when I moved back to the USA, never there. |
| I just saw the whole thing getting heated and have seen people stop talking to friends over a difference of opinion. Notice I'm not making mine known. Love this site and would hate to see people angry at one another. |
| Yes, @Carol and @Audrey, I was going to make a similar statement in my last comment and paused to think, "ALTHOUGH...... we are friends and family SSoooooooo we ACCEPT AND TOLERATE each other and share. Share our photos, share our stories, share our births, share our deaths, share our adoptions, and yes share our opinions. Isn't it here, with our friends and families (wishfully over a glass of vino with each other vs this new electronic world) which we grow and learn from each other, teach each other and understand another's perspective? My family is just that place, where I know I will be safe and still loved for my differences. So with the double edge sword of "this new electronic world" you have the ability to pass over any undesirable conversations. Please pass over my posts if anyone isn't interested in MY photos, stories, etc. XXOO |
| lol! Carol I always say I'm not going to engage in political or religious conversations on fb then my feathers get so ruffled by some comment that "I go there"...although I wish I hadn't most times...it really is a scary political time with the potential of womens rights being on the table. I do understand your feelings though ... |
Original Post | The article asked me to be the first of my friends to like this, I WILL NOT, and hope all my friends will support the woman's choice. OMG What is next? |
