Dan Defebbo 8:07pm Jun 1 Oops, time out, Mary has now expanded the scope to Capri which doesn't count because it has it's own library of smells most of which are wonderful. Nothing like the 'mixed bag' you get in the city. Still waiting for someone to mention the smell of stale beer at the Lowenbrau or that sweet smoky smell which shall not be named. Another I recall is the distinct scent of 4711 cologne worn by men and women. What scents bring up memories for you? Don't forget the smell of water buffalo poop (very distinctive), diesel fumes, dead fish, coffee, the sea and best of all... roasting chestunts on the street in the winter.
